Accepted at last!

Comfortably ensconsed as I am in the beating heart of my newly adopted city of Boston, enjoying the luxury of the brand new Liberty Hotel (a former jail but more on that another time) I felt certain that the only bit of news I had been waiting on for the last 6 weeks would not, in its letter form, find me here. But, contrary to all assurances that the letter box of my front door would one day clatter to the sound of letters arriving, and inparticular, a letter from the Institute of Master of Wine, I resigned myself to 4 days of no news.
"Congratulations, you have been accepted...", a tingle, a quiet momnent of self congratulation and then a moment of blind panic. They had let me on the course and the waiting was over, and all through the medium of email. I was unprepared for this momentus news that for the next 2 years or more I would be preparing myself for exams that could give me the chance of becoming one of the hallowed few; a Master of Wine.
But my god I am excited, and to all the people who have supported me to this point I can only thank you from the bottom of my heart- it's going to be an interesting journey!
