Virtual Wine Tasting launched at The Landing
Taste and technology come together on Monday, Sept. 25, when Tastoria, the U.S. operation of British Internet broadcasting company, Virtual Wine Limited will host its first U.S. virtual wine tasting from The Landing Restaurant, 81 Front St., Marblehead.
Already a hit in England, Tastoria’s unique concept features panelists who taste, pair food with wine and exchange information with their online audience. The panel will feature host of the series, James Booth, British wine specialist Ben Llewelyn, Marblehead wine merchant George Shube and The Landing Manager, Robert Simonelli.
The program will highlight six wines and pair them with cuisine prepared by The Landing’s Executive Chef Stephen James. For those who wish to participate online, the tasting packs will be available from Sept. 5 at Shubie’s Marketplace, as well as selected specialist wine stores in the Boston area.
